Read our Annual Report and Financial Statements
We are pleased to share that the Annual Report and Financial Statements for the year ended 31 December 2024 have now been filed with the Charity Commission. We encourage you to read the Trustees’ Report, which has been prepared with great care and provides a detailed account of the work undertaken.
Alongside the financial statements, our report describes our ongoing work and the progress made across the estuary project. As our plans have evolved into detailed design, the scale and importance of this project have become ever clearer. The need for robust flood defences across the estuary is urgent, and the benefits - economic, environmental, cultural, and social - are far-reaching.
We are deeply grateful for the support we continue to receive from our community, from individuals, families, and businesses, to the many volunteers who give their time and expertise so generously. With your help, we continue to make steady progress towards securing the estuary for generations to come.

We are delighted to announce this year’s Christmas cards.
The first, Town Steps, has been created by Emma Chichester Clark, who also kindly designed the beautiful hare which represents the Trust in our logo. The second, Three Wise Men on the Sailors’ Path to Snape, is by John and Mary James.
Once again, The Aldeburgh Bookshop has generously organised the creation of these beautiful cards to support The AOET.
